Training delivery methods

In this unit, we learned about various training delivery methods and the categories to which they belong. Which approach suits you best when retaining knowledge—cognitive or behavioral? Explain your choice. On the job training, hands on. As I progressed through my career I learned that I was a better learner through cognitive training. Yes, you can show me how to do this, but I wanted to learn the how, why, what, and anything else behind the scenes. I wanted to know why certain things mattered, and why we did things a certain way. Was there evidence to prove that we were right? Were we doing things because “that’s the way we’ve always done it”? I didn’t want someone to show me how they have been doing it, I wanted to learn what was expected from the outcome and then work to figure it out from there.
