Compare the rhythmic feel of the three pieces of music. Briefly discuss how they emphasize rhythm, and compare the effect rhythm has on your perception of each example. Compare the textures of the three pieces of music. Be sure to include a brief description of each of the musical textures: monophony, homophony, and polyphony. Describe why each of the following musical excerpts can be labeled with one of these textures. Your response should be at least one page in length. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced; paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations.
