Argument or thesis

Reading and writing a 2-3 page summary for history.- write a two page paper (typed and double spaced) summarizing the key ideas expressed in the reading.  You should use the study questions outlined below to structure your paper.   Make up papers are due within one week of the missed quiz date.   Papers submitted after 1 week will be marked down one letter grade.   – read the assigned chapters carefully and take notes on key ideas, facts and arguments.  As you read, you should always try to figure out what each author’s main argument or thesis is – what is the main point they are trying to make?  How does he or she go about proving that argument – what factual evidence do they use to support their points?  Try to anticipate what possible questions might be.  Below are some issues and questions to think about with respect to each reading.
